America 250 Meridian is a patriotic community initiative celebrating the 250th anniversary of American independence in 2026, focusing on honoring veterans, first responders, and the core principles of the U.S. Hosted by partnership with the City of Meridian, in Partnership American Legion Post 113, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Emma Edwards Green Chapter of Meridian and the Meridian Library District, the program will feature three flagship events in 2026
