Description
Our favorite mole, which hails from Veracruz, made with dried chiles, nuts, and tropical fruits. This mole is perfect on roasted vegetables, light meats, or simply sopped up with fresh corn tortillas. Different from the best known mole Poblano, mole de Xico contains very little chocolate and instead gets its sweetness from prunes, plantains and piloncillo (Mexican brown sugar).
