I'm Sara, and I've been baking for 30 years! I own and operate a micro-bakery located in Multnomah Village. My bread is always mixed by hand, shaped by hand, and baked in a handcrafted wood-fired oven.

I am a mother of 3 kids 11 and under. I have been baking for almost 30 years and fell in love with the science of sourdough about 4 years ago. My sourdough starter has quite a story behind it and I thought you might like to hear a bit about it... First off, her name is Jeanne. Because she's in a bottle and you gotta rub her the right way (and then she basically makes magic). She was started in an MIT dorm room by a brilliant scientist (not me). Then she lived a mile in the sky in the Rockies for about 4 years before she came to me at a spiritual retreat near Mount Saint Helens.
