Hendricks Civic Theatre

Hendricks Civic Theatre (HCT) has been in existence for over 40 years! We are a 501 (C) 3 Not-For-Profit organization. HCT began in 1981 as Hendricks County Community Theatre, and then in 1989, we incorporated and rebranded as Hendricks Civic Theatre.

Since then, we have put on plays and musicals every year, performing across Hendricks County.

In 1998, the Maplewood Christian Church was gifted to Hendricks Civic Theatre. Following many renovations, this church is now our home, opened in 2009. We have fondly named it Longstreet Playhouse after the Long family, who were an integral part of this church and community.

In 2024, HCT partnered with Hendricks Live! in the heart of Plainfield to grow into a much larger venue and reach even more theatre lovers.

HCT gives many people their first theatre experience and builds an open, diverse community for actors, crew, and patrons alike.
