BIG SIS

BIG SIS is a Portland-based studio creating heirloom-quality goods from existing materials. The work centers on textile reuse, small-batch production, and thoughtful, durable design inspired by nature.

The core offering is custom quilted outerwear made from reclaimed blankets, quilts, and denim—either sourced or provided by the client. Each piece is one-of-a-kind or made in small runs, shaped by the materials available. Alongside outerwear, BIG SIS produces a limited range of garments, accessories, and small goods using textile remnants, as well as calendula-based skincare and a signature botanical fragrance.

The practice is seasonal and material-driven, with each collection evolving based on what is on hand. All pieces are designed to extend the life of existing materials while creating functional, everyday objects meant to be worn, used, and kept.
