Conch Republic Marine Army

Since December of 2017, The Conch Republic Marine Army(a 501c3 non-profit based on Big Pine Key) has removed over 315 tons of trash from the mangrove islands in the Florida Keys. In addition, to removing over 3.5 million feet of trapline, multiple watercraft and 106 refrigerators.

The CRMA is a boots on the ground organization of 7,000+ volunteers. Our mission is to continue cleaning up the near shore waters and mangrove islands. These mangrove islands provide a critical barrier of protection from violent storms and rising sea levels. They are also crucial to our fish, bird and reef systems, providing the habitat for birth and nurturing. Without these islands, we would not have the sustainability necessary to maintain the delicate balance in our fragile ecosystem.
Our trips typically run from 10-3 and we provide lunch and beverages.
