Rachelle Herd
Rachelle Herd — the “Shell Bell” behind Shell Bell’s Gluten Free Baked Goods — has been an Eagle Mountain resident since 2000. She has been baking gluten-free for over 15 years, ever since two of her children were diagnosed with Celiac disease. During those 15 years, she has been trying to perfect her recipes to be delicious enough that you wouldn't know that her food does not contain gluten!
Rachelle herself started eating gluten-free to help her migraines and nerve pain caused by Trigeminal Neuralgia.
Rachelle's baking partner is her daughter-in-law, Heather Peterson Herd. Heather married Rachelle's son after connecting on a dating app where they bonded over both having to eat gluten-free. She always says that she married into the right family because she is lucky enough to have a mother-in-law with phenomenal cooking skills!
After dreaming about it for years, Rachelle and Heather are excited to finally provide delicious gluten-free baked goods for others to enjoy!
