Owner/Artist - Abstracts of the Heart

My artwork is inspired by the work of the American abstract expressionist Jackson Pollock, paint splatter images and drip textures bring an eclectic and energized feel. Even at a young age abstract art was in my blood. From kindergarten class assignment coloring my fox purple instead of traditional color to grade school, admiring the art styles of Jackson Pollack and Vincent Van Gogh. However, I actually started painting in 2016 as a way to release my emotional energy. During this time I was full time taking care of my wife’s personal needs as she went through and during months of recovery from medical heart procedures. I am a self-taught artist who started painting by experimenting with a student art kit with water colors on art paper. As I improved moved into creating with acrylic on canvas using variety of unusual tools like squeegees, putty knives, sponges, fingers and really anything that gave me inspiration.

I fell in love with painting!

My current medium is acrylic, but also love using watercolor, ink and photography.

In April of 2020 turned my hobby into Abstracts of the Heart business and in October 2020 branched out to having my artwork printed on metal, acrylic, wood, paper and coasters too.
