Kit Cards

Inspired by various sources. "Kit Cards" are made from 1/8" Birch. Laser cut and engraved. More than just a greeting card. The pieces pop out of the wooden frame so you can build the item. 115x175mm Fits into a 5x7 envelope, easy to mail or gift.
The design work for all the pieces are my own.
Most designs are from requests made by local service personnel.
This is my 4th year making the Kit Cards, still at the same price.

General process for the creation of a Kit Card involves:
Idea.
Research the item that will be the model. This involves finding design pic/blueprints of the subject. From the pics I design the parts to be used.
Initial design. This must include a central balance point for hanging/display. Mostly this requires minor shape changes to specific parts.
Write a functional pattern.
Produce a test piece.
Make corrections as needed.
If no further issues are found a final design is ready.

Once final design is ready the steps are:
Inspect the wood being used. Any hidden fill spots will ruin the piece.
Cut and engrave the Kit Card via laser.
Inspect
Clean and sand as needed.
Individually package each for sales.

100% of the work is by me.

Graphics will vary as needed.
Most are graphics I've created, some pieced together bits from other graphics.
