Oil on Paper
22 x 28 x 1
This is a painting of a Richmond, VA landmark, the Lucky Strike Building in Tobacco Row, just off of 95. If you live in Richmond, you know the location. This was painted right before Connecticut, the American Indian who overlooked the James River, was removed. I am a huge fan of Maxfield Parrish, and many of my paintings use his glazing technique that consists of multiple layers of blues. This painting is taken from a photograph I took outside the Lucky Strike Building late 2018, and decided to paint in 2019. It is oil, framed, and ready to hang.
