RESUME Kim & Mark Patillo / DBA: After the Gold Rush
For 45+ years, we have designed, made - one at a time, - and sold our jewelry. It’s been our sole livelihood since 1974. We fabricate unique, one-of-a-kind pieces - necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and anklets (seasonal.)
Our focus is on incorporating vintage sterling silver: re-claimed, re-cycled, then re-purposed by us into our own pendants. We will take parts of old or unique buttons, brooches, clips, chatelaine parts, or whatever else we find in our travels….then make them into pendants or pieces that we can make into drop earrings. We then incorporate precious and semi-precious, ethically-sourced gemstones, pearls, and crystal to accent and finish them. We’re particularly fond of marcasite these days, as most people don’t know that it’s an organic material with lots of jewelry history/styles/eras behind it, and we enjoy educating people about it. Natural gem- stones have always been our first love and are our roots, but any bead that is unique, beautiful, rare, or even ugly (all in our opinion) - could find its’ way onto our display. We also use some types of German, Czech, and Belgian glass beads (both vintage and new) in our work, giving our customers an eclectic variety of materials to choose from.
Finishing deets: All pieces are accented with sterling silver, antiqued copper, or 14kt. Gold Filled beads ~ in contemporary, Art Deco, Victorian, post-war, & other retro styles. Everything we make is adjustable on site and custom orders are welcome. Only WE do any of the fabricating, antiquing, wrapping, shaping, grinding, drilling, or polishing that is required in our work. We guarantee all of our work and will repair any piece for our customers at any time free of charge.
Our work is fun and affordable. Our prices range from $10 -$100, with average prices of $15-$30 for earrings, $45 - $60 for necklaces, and $15 - $30 for bracelets and anklets. Since 1974, we have done shows will all of the major promoters: Harvest Festivals (beginning in 1975!), California Artists, Eckerstrom Productions, Pacific Fine Arts Festivals, and more. We have done (and still do) most of the major Art & Wine Festivals, etc. throughout CA & AZ.
If we are accepted into your show, we’ll need a CORNER / END-OF-AISLE space, which we’ll display ‘straight-out’ if space permits (preferred), or in an ‘ L’ configuration if not. We use 2 individual 6’ tables - skirted & covered all around and to the floor, with valances, and slanted, upright, suede-covered backboards for displaying our jewelry. For inside shows we use a deep blue satin skirting for the tables, with matching satin curtains for back and side walls.
Thank you for considering us for your fair!
