Hi, I’m Alexis Imani! I’m a Board Certified Family Physician and the founder of Black Joy Soy. I started candle making as a self care practice during residency and it helped me restore my joy during one of the hardest times in my life. I love that I get to share that joy with you all through Black Joy Soy.

Black Joy Soy is a luxury home fragrance and wellness brand that centers and celebrates Black joy. Our hand poured soy candles and wax melts are paired with curated playlists that create joyful multisensory experiences. A portion of every purchase goes to the Black joy Fund which supports mental health access for Black folks. We also focus on self care, community building and health literacy through our online wellness hub, candle making classes, and other community events.
