Eloise Anne Grooms is a 13-year-old baker with a passion for sourdough, creativity, and craftsmanship. Having lived in Phoenix, Boise, Franklin, Tennessee, and now Hamilton, Eloise brings a unique blend of experiences and inspiration from each place she has called home. She has lived in Hamilton for the past two years and quickly fell in love with the strong sense of community and charm found in the Bitterroot Valley.
Eloise has been baking for the past five years and discovered her love for sourdough three years ago. What began as curiosity quickly became a true passion. She enjoys every step of the process—from nurturing the starter to crafting the perfect loaf—and is fascinated by the science behind baking. Her interest even led her to complete a scientific project studying how different procedural elements affect sourdough fermentation and final results.
For Eloise, baking is more than just making bread; it is a creative and rewarding process that connects science, patience, and artistry. Participating in the Hamilton Farmers Market is especially meaningful to her, as it has been a dream since she first visited the market nearly ten years ago.
