SunCoast Blood Centers is a local nonprofit organization providing safe, high-quality blood products to hospitals and patients across Southwest Florida since 1949.
Founded on Valentine’s Day in 1949, the organization began as the Lower West Coast Blood Bank, built on a simple but powerful idea: neighbors helping neighbors.
Today, SunCoast Blood Centers continues that mission by ensuring hospitals and patients have access to lifesaving blood products when they need them most.
