About

“Bloom where you are planted?” Don’t mind if we do. Hello again — we’re Matt and Brie, hometown sweethearts with Ogden in our roots and our petals permanently pressed into 25th Street pavement. And we mean that — sixteen years ago, we met (and married!) right here on historic 25th Street, in what is now The Queen Bee. If our lives and business were a flower, we’d be the perennial kind — firmly planted in our beloved city, with no plans to transplant. Even our children — from tiny seedlings to budding blossoms — have weathered the summer market heat, growing right alongside our flowers, season after season. Together, we are Cheeky Floral.

Would you believe that Cheeky Floral started at the Ogden Farmers Market as a letter board company? It’s true. Nine years ago, hoping to make a little extra money for a vacation or two, we began handcrafting felt letter boards. While we quickly realized we weren’t passionate about making letter boards, we were absolutely passionate about the farmers market — the community, the energy, the vibe, and the incredible customers. We had caught the farmers market bug. So we pivoted and turned to what we truly loved, something growing just outside our back door. Bloom — Cheeky Floral sprouted.

Now, we’re planting the seeds (quite literally) for our eighth flower season, and we’re honored to once again offer our farm-fresh Sacks of Flowers — a product that has grown and evolved from humble paper lunch bags to our proprietary waterproof paper sacks. Even our hand-built flower cart has had a few “re-potting” moments, wearing different coats of paint before settling into its current hue, “Cheeky Pink.” From tiny seeds started in our basement, we grow every single flower ourselves. We spend months nurturing our plant babies to maturity, long days harvesting each stem by hand, and bouquet-making-marathons arranging our flowers with intention and love. Our little flower farm is what we live for in the summer months — and what we dream about all winter long.
