Indiana Department of Insurance

The Indiana Department of Insurance (IDOI) is a regulatory agency that protects and informs Hoosier consumers by providing essential guidance to help consumers with their insurance needs and ensures insurance companies and licensed producers comply with Indiana state insurance laws.

The IDOI administers of the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) which is a free and impartial counseling program for people with Medicare. SHIP provides free, impartial information to help consumers make decisions regarding health insurance options related to Medicare.
