About

We are an independent latin-canadian bakery vendor planning to serve handmade alfajores. Our goal is to provide market visitors with welcoming traditional baked treats that pair naturally with the market experience. We are committed to operating with minimal environmental impact by offering environmentally responsible packaging wherever possible, and powering our small appliances with solar energy to reduce overall waste and energy use. Our setup is designed for efficient, professional service in a busy market environment, allowing us to maintain short wait times while keeping our space clean, organized, and community-focused. We are excited to contribute to the market atmosphere and provide a dependable, sustainable pastry option for visitors and vendors alike.

Kyra Sturdy
Casa Alfy was started by Kyra and Loreto with a simple goal: bring people together over homemade treats. Inspired by a love of slow mornings, good conversation, and traditional Latin flavours, they began crafting small-batch alfajores to pair perfectly with their morning coffee. Kyra focuses on the baking and recipe development, making each alfajor by hand using simple, high-quality ingredients. From classic dulce de leche to chocolate-dipped and coconut varieties, every batch is made with care. Loreto brings a passion for community and culture. Together, they created Casa Alfy to share something special at the farmers market — homemade alfajores, and a welcoming place to stop, chat, and enjoy a sweet moment in your day.
