Tulip Vases

Back to simplicity, these vases were hand-thrown on a pottery wheel and then hand-carved into the shape of a tulip with three distinctive petals. Fine lines were carved vertically on the petals to create subtle texture which can only be seen up close. This celadon glaze is so thick that it is highly reflective under bright light. The footing was deliberately left un-glazed to show its natural clay color after its high-temperature glaze-firing.
