At Dragonwood, we keep bees, tap trees, and produce premium food products from our apiaries and sugarbushes.

Dragonwood is run by daddy-daughter duo Abigail Gerig and Michael Gerig. Our beekeeping adventure started in 2004 after Andrea Gerig (Abigail’s mom) accused Michael of boring Christmas presents. He signed the three of us up for beekeeping classes, and was never accused of boring presents again! Dragonwood started in 2009 as Abigail’s dream to share her crafts with the community. The market begged us to bring honey, and so we brought a few sizes of honey to the market. We had no clue what we were doing, but immediately fell in love with the market community. In 2013, after being featured on the front page of the Kokomo Tribune, we sold our first maple syrup at the farmers market. Our fans fell in love with our syrup, and we were even more hooked. Over the years, our products have expanded from pure honey and pure maple to include specialty products like spice infused syrups, flavored creamed honey, and much more.

Today we run multiple apiaries and sugarbushes, with hundreds of hives, and thousands of taps. We have a custom built state inspected food production facility, and a lot of creativity and passion for premium flavor.
