Rory’s Garden

My name is Lindsay Drummond and I started Rory’s Garden in the backyard of my 1 acre property. What started out as a few pots of ranunculus grown as a remedy for grief (in 2021) has quickly grown into a 30 ft x 30 ft flower cutting garden. I have 5 rows for cut annuals as well as perennial roses, peonies, and several 3x8 beds for bulbs/corms. Each spring and summer I grow thousands of flowers, and the garden has continued to expand as new varieties are planted. The goal of Rory’s Garden is to share the beauty of flowers with the community, but also to educate. My team is building a website to teach beginning growers where to start and how to grow flowers. The website will also be a resource on grief, loss, and mental health and how gardening can aid in this process.
