Here at Raven Timberworks we have a strong focus on sustainability. Our materials come directly from our property or others in close proximity. The logs are sawn on site to specific measure and then kiln dried at our shop before profiling and finishing. Only the highest quality all natural oils and bees wax are used for the final polish. We sell our fine woodcraft only at local venues and do not practise shipping.
This is a committed, production process, as our motto expresses, "From forest to finery, with respect."

Moving to the corridor in 1992 and pioneering property in Paradise Valley brought many challenges as well as many opportunities. Starting as a Timber frame home builder and then moving into many other facets of woodcraft has given Ian a substantial foundation to be creative. Together with his partner Claudia, who has been growing produce for market sales since the Squamish Farmers Markets inception, they endeavor to .build a sustainable life practice from there property and influence others to do the same. In a continuing momentum they now are creating some of the finest cutting boards available and marketing them exclusively in the Sea to Sky corridor. Truly a "Forest to Finery" operation, the materials are harvested from there own land (or close proximity) then milled, dried, profiled and finished on site before being presented for the utilization and enjoyment of their many customers.
