Save Our Seabirds

Our mission is to rescue and rehabilitate sick, injured and orphaned wild birds with a goal of releasing them back to the wild. We receive over 5,000 calls annually from people seeking to help wild birds. We have a dedicated team of rescuers who go to great lengths to bring birds to our Avian Hospital, where the birds receive the care they need. In addition to treating birds, we also offer refuge to ~100 permanent resident birds who were non-releasable due to their injuries. We like to think our campus is a refuge to people as well, as we are open daily from 10am-5pm, and we do not charge admission. We invite people to stroll the bird walk, meet our resident birds, and connect with nature. We offer daily educational programs, and we host regular training and educational events as well, all for free. Being a nonprofit in the animal welfare and environmental space has its challenges - every chance we have to fundraise makes a huge impact on our capabilities as an organization. We are seeking to expand our hospital so we can offer care to even more birds. To be a recipient would mean the world to us! Thank you so much for your consideration.
