Becker Farms IN
Vendor
Becker Farms was established in the Fall of 2007, after we, Kyle and Emily Becker, purchased a ~100 acre farm in north-east Henry County. Our initial focus was freezer beef and since that time, we have diversified our farm offerings to also include pork, chicken, turkey, eggs, and milk. We sell our products direct-to-consumer at farmers markets and through a CSA program, as well as to wholesale/restaurant accounts in East-Central Indiana.

We raise our livestock in a pasture-based system and do our best to provide a low-stress environment, where all of the animal’s nutritional, housing, and well-being needs are met. We recognize and respect the connection of healthier soil leading to healthier animals leading to healthier meats for our customers to enjoy and do our best to optimize that relationship. We are transparent with our animal husbandry practices and want to be a trusted partner in the local food system. As such, it is our vision to ‘be the farm of choice for sourcing safe, wholesome meats, poultry, eggs, and milk’ and our mission is simply to ‘help feed people well’.
Kyle and Emily Becker & Family
Kyle was raised on a dairy-beef-and-grain farm in Wayne County. He has a B.S. in animal science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Purdue University. In addition to being the visionary and jack-of-most-trades on our farm, he works as a food animal veterinarian for Becker Food Animal Health Services. Emily grew up in Kokomo, without an agricultural background, but has learned a lot about this important, ever-changing field since enrolling in the College of Agriculture at Purdue University where she earned a B.S. in food science. Emily continued her education with a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Indiana University. Emily is blessed to be at home raising our two daughters, Charlotte and Stella and our two sons, Griffin and Wyatt, and helping on the farm and with Kyle’s veterinary practice. With so much always going on around the farm and with raising our young children, we are thankful to have the help of some great folks working alongside of us--to help with livestock care, equipment maintenance, order fulfillment and distribution, going to the farmers market, and everything in between.
