Diggin' Roots Farm

We are a certified organic first-generation small-scale vegetable operation located just outside of Silverton, OR. Diggin' Roots Farm was born, along with our first child, 13 years ago, though this land has a rich indigenous history that far precludes our tenure, and which we hope to honor through our stewardship. We grow direct market seasonal vegetables for farmers market and CSA. Our emphasis is on maintaining and improving soil health and ecological richness, both in the vegetable operation and the larger farm-scape. The vegetable production subsidizes many conservation and restoration efforts, including reforestation, clearing of invasive species, habitat restoration, hedgerow planting, pasture renovation, stream bank stabilization, erosion mitigation and landscape water retention. Our vegetables are grown on a human scale on semi-permanent beds with long-term rotation. We pay a living wage to dedicated and long-term employees, who are all part of the farm family, and our local community.
