We are an Oregon Century Farm. We produce artisan alpine Swiss cheeses from our Brown Swiss cows. Our cheeses, all raw milk, include Gruyere, Raclette, and Emmental. We are continuing the tradition of my great-grandfather who immigrated from Switzerland and made cheese on our farm.
Participation & Certifications
We raise all our own hay and pasture. We feed no silage or haylage.
This is where the family farm and home is located and the dairy herd and creamery.
Dave Grossen
Fifth generation Oregonian, born and raised in Helvetia, Oregon. Living on the family farm, raising hay and grain, milking our micro herd of Brown Swiss cows and making cheese. Graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in mechanical engineering. Have been leading what is probably the oldest 4-H club in Oregon, the Contented Munchers Dairy Cattle Club, founded in 1928. When not farming, my family enjoys camping on the Oregon Coast and in Central Oregon.
