Florida West Coast Avian Society

The Florida West Coast Avian Society (FWCAS) is the leading organization in Sarasota and Manatee counties dedicated to the well-being of pet parrots. We educate current and prospective bird owners on parrot care, feeding, and the special needs of various species. FWCAS also provides immediate veterinary and foster care for surrendered, abandoned, and abused birds, whether turned in by owners or rescued by animal control. We evaluate parrots to determine if they can be fostered or adopted into loving homes. Our foster and adoption programs offer temporary shelter or permanent homes to these intelligent, social, and long-lived family pets.
