Dr. Brandi Brown
Dr. Brandi Brown is a U.S. Air Force veteran, bioengineer, and founder of Gulf Spore LLC, America’s leading veteran-owned mushroom biotechnology company. After completing her military service, Dr. Brown earned her Ph.D. in Bioengineering, where she led academic research in sustainability and bioprocess innovation before discovering her true passion: entrepreneurship and mushrooms.
Driven by a vision to make mushroom science accessible and profitable for everyone, Dr. Brown founded Gulf Spore — now recognized as one of America’s Top 100 Small Businesses (U.S. Chamber of Commerce CO100) and a National Science Foundation SBIR Awardee (the federal “Shark Tank” for small business innovation).
Under her leadership, Gulf Spore launched America’s first mushroom farming franchise and created Shroom School™ — The Mushroom CEO Masterclass, a hands-on business education platform that teaches others how to grow not just mushrooms, but six-figure mushroom businesses.
