WHO? WHY? With a lifelong passion for art and music, we are the founders, Todd and Hope Dufour, and have been working in entertainment post production for many years — but missed the joy of making art and live performance from our days at UCLA and beyond when we were an aspiring professional artist and actress.
WHEN? We founded Mona Lisas & Mad Hatters in 2025 to find joy in our every day life, following the muse of our creative passions — crafting art and hand-dyed clothing together that evokes our passion for art, music and color! We aspire to make something really special that will become your favorite clothing to put on OR art to hang on your wall at home.
HOW? Todd and I tie dye our clothing by hand at our home-based studio, but we start with blanks that are all cotton or hemp — aiming to pick styles you will LOVE! We also make TRIPPY PAINTINGS and Graphics that we either heat press on to our hand-dyed clothing OR create high def prints outs. Everyone has LOVED our art and clothing and come back repeatedly at multi-day festivals.
