St. Augustine was founded in 1565 and people have been living in this city ever since. We only started roasting coffee in 2012, but the beauty of this place drives us just the same. The winding salt marshes, the mounded dunes, the sand pine forests, and the oyster beds that peak through at low tide - they all invited us to get our hands dirty and get our feet wet.

1565 coffee is roasted in st. Augustine to capture the essence of life here: brave, authentic, enduring, soulful, and honest. Our artisan roasting and blending process always puts these qualities first, and it’s why we stand behind every cup.

Our Company is strongly rooted in quality, sustainability, free trade and global diplomacy. We began our journey seeking to merge science and craftsmanship by learning the essence of specialty coffee from industry leaders. Simply stated our goal is to bring you great fresh roasted coffees made from the finest specialty green coffee available from around the world.
