CleanBean Farm
Vendor
We are a first generation backyard “micro farm” in beautiful, rural Festus, Missouri. This is our fourth season of growing clean food for our community.
We believe knowing where your food comes from and how it’s grown provides a sense of comfort, empowerment and reassurance. Our practices are simple, transparent, sustainable and environmentally friendly. We are not “Organic Certified” but we ensure, your food was grown with deep intention using only the soil, sun and rain. The little hands on our farm help handpick insects and pull weeds. Row covers are utilized to help reduce insects, critters and extend the growing season.
With a strong focus on soil health, we rely heavily on basic permaculture principles, heavy mulch and time-saving strategies. We fertilize and amend the soil with homemade compost rather than store bought chemicals. There’s a whole underground network of microbes and life we try not to disturb so minimal disruption is made to the soil using low to no-till methods.
