We are currently conducting research studies funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that are focused on how young adults (ages 18–25) learn and respond to new visual cues or signals for rewards (e.g., money, food, drink) with the goal of better understanding psychological risk and protective factors for problems with alcohol and other drug use. We also have related non-NIH-funded research study opportunities available for adults age 18-65.
We are actively seeking new avenues for community outreach, and we were hoping to connect with members of the broader Columbia community — especially young adults who may or may not be affiliated with MU but might still be eligible and interested in participating in our research The Columbia Farmers Market stood out to us as a welcoming, health-conscious, and community-minded space where people are often curious and engaged — qualities that align well with our recruitment goals. https://mulamplab.org/participate.html
