Fresh Lavender Bundles

At Cloudscape Hill, we take pride in growing and cultivating 13 distinct cultivars of lavender, including both English lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) and English hybrids (Lavandula x intermedia). This broad selection ensures that you can find the perfect scent, color, and flavor for your specific needs. From the sweet and floral notes of our English lavenders to the robust and earthy aromas of our English hybrids, there is a variety to suit every preference. Our fresh bundles are harvested by hand and sold soon after cutting to ensure you receive the highest quality and most fragrant lavender.

Experience the true essence of summer with our seasonal Fresh Lavender Bundles. Available for a limited time from late June through early August, these bundles are hand-cut and tied directly from our fields at the peak of their bloom. They capture the vibrant color, lush texture, and powerful, clean fragrance that only fresh lavender can provide.

English Lavender varieties are available in late June and early July. English Hybrid varieties follow, with availability in late July and early August.

Each bundle contains approximately 100 stems and measures around 12-18 inches in length. The circumference of the bundle at its widest point is approximately 3-5 inches. (Note: As a natural product, slight variations in size and stem count may occur.)

Longevity: For an aromatic display that will last for several days, you can place your fresh bundle in a vase with just 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water. The stems will absorb the water, keeping the blooms vibrant. To preserve the bundle for long-term use, it's best to begin the drying process soon after receiving it.

Drying: To create a beautiful, long-lasting dried bundle, simply remove it from any water and hang it upside down in a cool, dark place. The drying process takes approximately 2-3 weeks. This method preserves the beautiful color, scent, and flavor for months or even years of enjoyment.
Culinary Applications: The buds from fresh lavender can be stripped from the stems and used in a variety of recipes. Use sparingly to infuse simple syrups, flavor homemade lemonade, or add a unique, floral note to baked goods and ice cream.
