Greyhound Adoptions WA rescue greyhounds from the racing industry, take them to their foster carers home where they learn how to live life as a pet. We can only do this by fundraising, such as raffles, Markets stalls where we sell our merchandise, Quiz nights and the like. Our vet bills along are in excess of $200,000 per year as most of the greyhounds come into our care injured from the racing world.

Greyhound Adoptions WA is a not for profit organisation where we rely totally on fundraising to cover all of our expenses with the biggest being vet bills which are in excess of $240,000 per year. A good percentage of the greyhounds that we rescue from the racing industry arrive with injuries and in general poor health.
GAWA has several fundraising events each weekend in various suburbs north and south of the river where we sell merchandise for greyhounds and other breeds as well as human apparel. We also use these events to showcase our greyhounds to the general public. Throughout the year we have other fundraising events such as Bunnings Sausage sizzles, Quiz nights, Mothers day High Teas and the No Talk Challenge as well as raffles at most events. GAWA also takes part in the Great Global Greyhound Walk where we generally raise as much funds as possible.
