AmeriCorps Seniors - Oregon Cascades West Council of Goverments

The Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion programs offer volunteer opportunities for low-income seniors to work with youth in local schools and head start programs or with local seniors by helping them maintain independence by offering companionship, assisting with rides, and so much more. Volunteers receive a non-taxable stipend of $4 per hour for their service. RSVP is America’s largest volunteer network for people age 55 and over. Volunteer opportunities include food pantries, advocacy, Medicare counseling, money management, meal delivery, tax preparation, and more.
