Rochelle Thomas
Hello, I’m Rochelle, though many know me as “Manna”—a name lovingly given to me by my 16 adorable grandkids.
I was raised in a big family with eight siblings, where life revolved around faith, family, and the kitchen. My mom spent countless hours cooking, baking, and canning the produce from our large garden and greenhouse. Some of my fondest memories were built around our kitchen table—sharing meals made from the fruits of our labor, laughing together, and simply being present with one another.
From a young age, my parents believed in teaching us the importance of self-sufficiency. We learned how to cook, bake, garden, and preserve food—not as a chore, but as a way of caring for ourselves and those we love. I could sit for hours watching my mom bake or prepare meals, completely content just being in the kitchen. That’s where my love for creating with my hands was born.
Manna’s Kitchen grew out of that lifelong love. I enjoy everything from gardening and canning to baking and cooking from scratch, but what I love most is sharing those skills with others. There is nothing quite like watching someone light up with pride after pulling their first successful loaf of bread from the oven or finishing a pan of homemade cinnamon rolls.
The kitchen has always been my happy place—and through Manna’s Kitchen, my hope is to help others find confidence, joy, and connection there too.
