Taylor Rinkel

Taylor of Vicious Cycle Studio is inspired by their view of the midwest that they grew up in, both the one that includes rich forests and the one that includes run down, abandoned buildings. Their work features melancholy, familiarity, and loneliness in many forms, as depicted by the neurodivergent artist.

Over time, they have worked with many mediums, including oil, ink, watercolor, beads, embroidery, vinyl, linocutting, clay sculpture- the list goes on. There has never been a mastered medium, only following creative urges from one to another and then back again. This is the vicious cycle.
