Photographer/educator/citizen-scientist/artist specializing in botanical subjects. Flowers, seed pods, trees and more photographed in the studio as "plant portraits" as well as on location. Artisan greeting cards are custom printed and signed by Lori. Matted prints and science + art books are also available. Lori has been photographing for decades and runs her full-time, commercial photography studio in Hopewell Junction (southern Dutchess County), New York.
I photograph specimens found mainly locally in Dutchess, Putnam, Westchester Counties. Many are specimens I have grown at my location. I print the cards in my studio on professional photography equipment.
Lori Adams is the owner and photographer of Lori Adams Photo. She is a gardener, citizen-scienctist, artist and educator. Her treatment of the specimens in unique in her macro-photography approach. One of her books, Little Flowers with Big Attitude, celebrates small flowers in both photographs and verse.
