Blu Dot Farm & Vineyard

Blu Dot Farm & Vineyard is uniquely located between the shores of Lake Charlevoix and Lake Michigan. The farm is 2.5 miles from Downtown Charlevoix and accessible via car and bike from the Route-31 bike path. Prior to the farm being a vineyard, it was a large horse training and breeding facility, a few winning race horses even came off of Blu Dot Farm.

The terroir of Blu Dot Farm is directly influenced by the Great Lakes and glacial drift. We have significantly rocky, limestone, loam soil that not only houses a ton of nutrients for our vines, but also some unbelievable fossils and Petoskey stones can be found. Due to these key factors our white wines generally showcase a lovely mineral presence on the palate.

Blu Dot Farm & Vineyard opened its doors in June 2023 with the vintage airstream tasting room, 3 acres of grapes and 6 small batch wines with big personalities. Now as we head into our 3rd Summer season, we offer 2 tasting room settings, 10 acres of 9 different grape varieties, and have doubled our sipping selections and even started producing cider. This Summer we will be open 7 days a week with 10+ wines to choose from, 3 ciders, wine slushies, snacks and more. Join us for a tasting, glass or bottle and enjoy our farms views from inside the vintage airstream, around a bonfire or under our shade sails.
