Perrystead Dairy is Philadelphia’s most local cheese producer, located just 2 miles from your Headhouse market in Fishtown-Kensington border. With over 20 international awards, our cheese has become a local staple that is now recognized nationwide.

We source our milk exclusively from small Pennsylvania family dairy farms that practice free pasture and regenerative methods. Our products are American originals—no imitations of European cheeses. Our cheese is in small grab-and-go format, eliminating the need to cut, wrap, weigh, or label products. Our cheeses are unique in both flavor and format, and are hyper local -setting it apart from any other offerings in your markets.

We are regulated by the state and FDA, inspected every 12 weeks, and third-party GMP-HACCP audited to the highest standards with the latest score of 99.63%.

We have previously participated in The Food Trust’s Northern Liberties farmers' market, where our attendance was excellent. At that time, we were told there was limited space in other markets but would have priority for future participation should we complete a season there - which we did. (This year we were told that The Food Trust no longer manages this market)

W have been receiving many inquiries from people asking what markets we are in, many asking why are we not in the Headhouse market, as it’s so close to us. Many customers expect to find our products there and are dropped notes on our website and social media disappointed that they can't find us. We have been asked to do markets in NJ, DE, and the outskirts of Philly but we really want to reserve ou energy first to our most local community where our products are well known, The demand is clear, and our product is a true Pennsylvania agricultural product and Philly's own.
