Our Country Miche houses a flavorful combination of grains in a dark hefty crust. The flours we feature in this bread include high extraction hard red spring wheat grown in Michigan’s Leelanau peninsula and stone-milled in Traverse City, as well as regionally grown organic spelt and Michigan-grown rye we freshly mill ourselves on our New American Stone Mill, and organic buckwheat. Naturally leavened by its own unique starter, Country Miche displays the natural sweetness of the grains with a deep and complex flavor profile and a moist texture that helps the bread last for days.
