Reach for a Replenishing Mineral Solution if you're a pregnant or nursing human, if you're recovering from a convalescence, if you have spent a day sweating in the hot sun, if you've had one too many alcoholic libations or too much coffee, or simply to provide your body with deep nourishment.
Continue reading for information on infusions and the beneficial plants included:
Herbal infusions are made by steeping about an ounce of plant material in quart or liter of water. Because this is quite a lot of plant material, we always steep for a minimum of 4-6 hours but preferably overnight until the water fully extracts the oils and nutrients of the plant matter. We then drink the liquid for the medicinal value.
Herbal tea can be thought of as weak infusion, containing much less plant material per serving.
I highly recommend making your herbal infusion in a liter size vacuum sealed canteen. The trapped, stable heat is incredible for fully extracting the beneficial nutrients from the plant material.
If you don’t have a vacuum sealed container, no matter; just use a glass quart jar. Exercise caution when pouring hot water into the jar as boiling water can sometimes break glass.
Each bag contains 5 or 10 sachets of infusion and each sachet contains a total of 20 grams of herbs:
7g Stinging Nettles
5g Oatstraw
8g Hibiscus
Directions:
Bring a liter of water to a boil.
Add sachet and boiling water to your container of choice (use caution if pouring boiling water into glass as it can cause breakage)
Steep for 4-6 hours, preferably overnight.
Enjoy!
These three simple ingredients may not seem like much, but you'd be surprised at what they can do for the body!
This infusion is rich in calcium, potassium, iron, vitamin A, vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, dietary fiber and antioxidants... Just to name a few!
-Nettles are rich in nutrients- both vitamins and minerals- which then act as antioxidants inside the body. They can stimulate the lymphatic system, support the kidneys in detoxification and support the gut for optimum nutritional absorption. Because the mineral content is so high, Nettles are extremely beneficial for pregnant and nursing humans as well as combatting anemia. The well known benefits of consuming Stinging Nettles are numerous and I encourage you to do some independent research!
-Not only is Oatstraw also rich in nutrients like nettles, but Oatstraw is very calming to the nervous system with the ability to support you through stress and anxiety without making you sleepy.
-Hibiscus is a deliciously tart herb packed with powerful antioxidants, anthocyanins, vitamin C and iron. Hibiscus can positively manage blood pressure and cholesterol, prevent heart disease and support the liver.
