Emily has always loved to eat. In pictures from childhood, you can consistently spot a snack in her hand. This love eventually led her to farming. She worked on organic farms for ten years and so learned the benefits of eating local; it tastes better, and it supports your neighbors. While living abroad 2010-2012, she began missing the pies that her grandparents used to make with freshly picked berries from the backyard. However, when returning home she realized there is no place to buy pies like those from her memories. So she began making pie at home, and became obsessed with perfecting her recipes. In 2017 she left farming to start Ohio Pies. She is driven to make pies the best they can possibly be. It is her hope that you will love them and that they might even bring back sweet memories from your own childhood.
