The details: I make three varieties of pure vanilla extract. The product is “pure vanilla extract” because the only ingredients are organic Madagascar vanilla beans and alcohol. The three varieties are:
Traditional Vanilla Extract: Popular for every-day use (e.g., pancakes, frosting, coffee creamer, oatmeal), and my best-selling variety.
Bourbon-based Vanilla Extract: Since the vanilla is extracted in bourbon, the vanilla takes on the spicy, warm flavor of the bourbon, offering a flavor profile that enhances the taste of cinnamon-forward and festive baked goods (e.g., banana bread, cinnamon rolls, pumpkin pie, and gingerbread).
Rum-based Vanilla Extract: The vanilla is extracted in rum, giving the vanilla extract a sweet, buttery flavor. Very popular in lieu of the Traditional vanilla extract. It's different but not too different!
