Friends of Samburu, Kenya

We are a non-profit 501C3 charity committed to helping the Samburu people in north central Kenya. This charity is Christ-centered and is a witness to His love. Its focus is on improving the lives of the Samburu children and their families. The Samburu are a pastoral, nomadic, tribal community numbering over 250,000 people. Their land, 8,000 square miles, is located approximately 250 miles north of the capital Nairobi. This charity raises funds to meet the identifiable and well-defined needs of their villages. It seeks sustainable ways to alleviate their poverty and to provide for their future while preserving their culture. All proceeds from our participation in markets helps fund the projects that are underway. We sell handcrafted items made by the Samburu people.
