Darions Barbecue Sauce Co
Vendor
After receiving a smoker from his wife, Darion was on his way. With his passion of cooking and his Vermont heritage, he started experimenting with ingredients. Vermont maple syrup (authentically cooked by wood fire) has always been a staple in their home. After cooking many family meals, neighborhood barbecues and holiday traditions, the special blend was created. Many friends and family urged Darion to bottle it so that everyone can add this to their dining experience.
What is considered an old fashion process is a craft. Pure Vermont maple syrup is cooked by wood fire evaporation to transform sap into maple syrup.
Sugaring is done in the spring and as temperatures drop, the tapping process begins. They drill holes into the trunks of the trees, then either by buckets or pipeline, it’s transferred to the sugar house. (40 gallons of sap makes one gallon of syrup)
Maple syrup has been enjoyed for many generations and will continue to do so.
