My wife and I recently moved to Nebraska. I have recently retired having made a career working in the arts and wanted to find a place to work the land. We have had the good fortune to find a wonderful property in Seward County. Our place is mostly forested and also has an apple orchard, pear trees, apricot trees and extensive gardens. I have established McKelvie Farm where I am harvesting produce and creating unique pieces made from the timber found on the farm including black walnut, cedar, pine, and many other varieties of wood.

I am so enjoying retirement out here on McKelvie Farm. Every day the beauty of this land comes to life as I walk our forest and discover the treasures the property has offer. We have abundant fruit trees, meadows filled with flowers, and a never ending supply of wood for both fires and unique rustic wood creations. I spend my days working the land with my loyal dog Micah filled with gratitude for this abundance.
