My husband, a retired Army Veteran, and I started Dogwood Acres Senior Dog Rescue nearly 4 years ago. This is our passion and mission, as less than 25% of senior dogs are adopted. As I had owned my own crafting business for 11 years previously, we decided crafting would be a good way to raise funds for our nonprofit. Our children and grandchildren help us in this endeavor, both by crafting and working at the shows.
