Amarelo Bread is an artisan bakery specializing in making naturally fermented, whole grain sourdough bread, including gluten-free options. We use a natural starter, or mother dough, using a long fermentation method to prove the bread. The result is a unique and flavorful, sourdough-style bread, with a delicious and moist chewy texture. Additionally, all of our bread is 100% vegan.
We use a commercial kitchen space, where we mix, ferment, and bake the bread. We buy our grain from local millers from the state of Washington, with the majority being organic.
Carlos Caicedo
Carlos is the owner and head baker of Amarelo Bread. With a background in art and music, several years ago he turned his attention to baking and fell in love with the craft. Carlos strives to bake bread that is nourishing, wholesome, and healthy, as well as equally delicious and flavorful, which is why he works with local whole grains and uses a natural fermentation process.
