Traditional tobacco has been used for centuries by First Nations for ceremonial or medicinal purposes and has significant cultural and spiritual importance. It may also be used as an offering to the Creator. A gift of traditional tobacco is a sign of respect and is often burned in fires or for smudging (purification).
