About

Wenatchi Wear was created by two people who love art & the outdoors.
We are passionate about creating awareness & empowering Indigenous communities through authentic threads.
We design with purpose. Meaning each of our designs has a story behind it, with the emphasis of our designs continuing to share local Native American history, tribal tales, and general knowledge.
We believe in creating a product everyone can be proud to represent. We are passionate about preserving Native American history & culture in North Central Washington and are able to accomplish this through a creative process, while reaching a broader range of people through wearable art.

Our art is a modern display of nature, legends, history, and fun!

Manager

Mary Big Bull-Lewis
Mary Big Bull-Lewis was born & raised in Wenatchee, WA.
She is a member of the Colville Confederated Tribe in Washington State - from Moses, Entiat, and Wenatchi bands & a descendant of the Blackfoot Tribe in Brocket, Alberta, Canada.
Her vision for this brand was a modern spin on Native American art while keeping the traditions preserved and sharing important historic stories. Growing up in the Wenatchee Valley, she recognized a lack of Indigenous history taught, and wanted to create a brand that can reach many people. She begins the creative process with hand-sketching each design.
She has a diverse background, working in the legal field for many years & then in the medical field as a Certified Medical Assistant. Currently a graphic processor, bookkeeper, and marketing gal for their graphic design business & continuing as a creative entrepreneur.
In her free time she enjoys baking, hiking with her pups, photography, and spending time with her family & friends.
